Cookie Policy
This page explains how skill.games uses cookies and similar storage technologies, what they're used for, and how you can control them. Read this together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let the site remember information between visits — for example, that you're logged in. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage; we treat them the same way for consent purposes.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the Service to work. Cannot be disabled.
PHPSESSID— server session identifier (required for login).ca_auth— keeps you logged in across visits if you tick "remember me".pa_consent— remembers your choice on the cookie banner so we don't ask again.
Functional
Improve the experience but are not strictly required.
- Language and theme preferences (e.g.
lang).
Analytics
If we deploy analytics in the future (e.g. self-hosted Plausible, Google Analytics), they would be listed here. As of 2026-05-09 we do not run third-party analytics on the Service itself.
Advertising
If we display ads on the Service, ad-network cookies (e.g. Google AdSense) may be set on your browser. They are not set by us directly and are governed by the ad provider's privacy policy. As of 2026-05-09 we do not run our own ads on the Service.
3. Third-party cookies inside game iframes
Games are embedded from third-party providers (GameDistribution, GamePix, GimCraft, Playsaurus, etc.). When you play a game, that provider may set its own cookies and use its own tracking inside the game iframe. We have no control over those cookies; refer to the provider's policy for details.
4. Managing cookies
You can:
- Use the consent banner shown on first visit to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
- Clear or block cookies in your browser settings — instructions for Chrome, Firefox, Safari.
- Use private/incognito mode to avoid persisting cookies across sessions.
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies will prevent login and other core features from working.
5. Re-opening the consent banner
To change your choice, clear the pa_consent cookie in your browser; the banner will reappear on the next page load.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add or remove cookies from the Service. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change.
