Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of skill.games and the games on it (the "Service"), operated by Playarena Online LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Armenia. By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

skill.games offers free card, board and puzzle games that you play in your web browser, against a computer opponent, with friends or on your own. No account is needed. The Service is funded by advertising.

The games are for entertainment only. There is no betting, no wagering, no real-money play and no prize of any kind on skill.games. Scores and statistics have no monetary value.

Who may use the Service

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use the Service with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Playing with friends

Many games can be played with friends: the game gives you a link, and anyone who opens it can take a free seat at your table. Share it only with people you want to play with. The name you choose is shown to the other players; it must not be offensive, hateful or sexual, impersonate someone else, or contain personal information about anyone. If you leave a game or lose your connection, the computer may play your seat, and leaving a game when only one other player is still at the table counts as a loss (for your whole team, in team games). A table is deleted shortly after everyone has left it. We may close any table, and we do not guarantee that a game with friends can be finished or resumed.

Your saved games and statistics

Your games in progress, settings and statistics are stored in your own browser. They may be lost if you clear your browser data, switch browser or device, or if a game is updated. We do not guarantee that they will be kept or restored.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment, and not to:

• copy, download for redistribution, re-host, mirror or republish the games or any part of the Service;
• embed or frame the Service, or any game, on another website or app, or present it as part of another service;
• reverse engineer, decompile or modify the games, or remove or bypass any technical protection, notice or branding;
• scrape or harvest the Service, or access it with automated tools, except search engines indexing public pages;
• interfere with the Service, its security or its advertising, or try to overload or attack it;
• cheat or disrupt games with friends, for example with modified pages, automated play or deliberately abusive names;
• click on advertisements in a way that is not genuine, or use any means to generate artificial impressions or clicks;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

The Service and its original content - including the games, their software, rules implementations, artwork, sounds, text and design - are owned by Playarena Online LLC and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws of Armenia and other countries. Traditional games such as chess, checkers and backgammon belong to everyone; our versions of them, and the way they are made and presented, are ours.

You may not use our names, logos or trade dress without our prior written permission. Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence beyond playing the games on the Service.

Advertising and third parties

The Service shows advertisements provided by Google, Yandex and their partners. We are not responsible for the content of advertisements or for the products, services or websites they link to; your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and them. The Service may also contain links to websites we do not operate.

Copyright complaints

We respect the intellectual property of others. If you believe that material on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] including:

• your physical or electronic signature;
• a description of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
• the URL or location on the Service of the material you believe is infringing;
• your address, telephone number and email address;
• a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
• a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.

Changes and availability

We may change, suspend or discontinue any game or any part of the Service at any time, and may restrict access to anyone who breaches these Terms. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or free of errors.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Playarena Online LLC and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, saved games, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to 100 US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to the greatest extent the law permits.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Armenia, excluding its conflict of law rules. If you have a concern or dispute about the Service, you agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting us. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you live.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
